iAM Interactive Inc.

iAM Interactive Inc., which operated the gaming portal iAM Interactive, was the live service gaming subsidiary of Asian Media Development Group Inc. (AMDG). It was a short-lived live service game publisher based in the Philippines and operated for the countries of the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore in 2009.

The iAM Interactive brand replaced AMDG's iPlayAsia portal.

About

iAM Interactive's formation was first announced in December 2008.[1] On January 23, 2009, iAM Interactive announced the iAM Wallet, an account management system for all present and future games of the company.[2] As a Philippine-based company, most of its offline events were held in the Philippines.

The iAM Interactive portal was launched on February 16, 2009. iAM Interactive President Fadzly Yusof stated that iAM Interactive planned to be the Philippine' first regional online gaming operator[3] (as opposed to a Philippine-only publisher like Level Up! and E-Games). Games that were already handled under AMDG's iPlayAsia brand, Lineage II and Guild Wars, were transferred to the iAM Interactive brand.

iAM Interactive began publishing GoGo Racer and Exteel in mid-2009.[4]

On December 22, 2009, iAM Interactive announced that it would be closing down Exteel and Lineage II due to the termination of its contract with NCsoft.[5] The iAM Interactive portal was shut down in January 2010, less than a year after it started operation.
