To further capitalize on the huge potential of iAM Interactive as the country’s first and premier regional online gaming publisher, two more Free-2-Play games have been introduced to the online gaming market—Exteel, a mecha-inspired game from NCSoft; and GoGo Racer, an online racing game from Radiance.

iAM Interactive is the online gaming arm of AsianMedia Development Group Inc., a prime mover in digital and interactive content production and distribution in the Southeast Asian region, which was established on November 29, 1999, and has since distributed widely acclaimed gaming titles such as Starcraft, Diablo, Warcraft and Counterstrike for the Philippine market, focusing on Internet cafés, as well as PC homes.

In 2005, through iAM Interactive’s partnership with NCSoft, the popular game Guild Wars has also been successfully launched and distributed in the Philippines.

In 2007 iAM Interactive forged an agreement with NCSoft for to exclusively market and distribute another hit gaming title named Lineage II in Southeast Asia, particularly in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

“iAM Interactive’s multiple distribution channels in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines enable ease of payment for all the products it’s handling,” shares iAM Interactive president Fadzly Yusof.

In the Philippines the popular hit gaming titles are being distributed nationally by 22 major distributors, catering to more than 5,000 Internet cafés strategically placed all over the country.

In Malaysia the sales and marketing functions are handled by Cubetech, with distribution channels covering 2,000 cyber cafés, 50 PC shops, 100 Bookstores and 400 convenience stores. In Singapore EpicSoft is at the forefront of iAM Interactive’s sales and marketing. Retail distribution is addressed through 61 retail partners, 261 retail stores, 12 partner cafés and a LAN Center distribution, in addition to an island-wide availability of iAM Interactive’s games.

With iAM Interactive’s extensive local market intelligence and careful planning and execution of gaming title campaigns in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, there is no doubt that here in Southeast Asia, the two new online games Exteel and Gogo Racer will be among the ranks of hit games that will capture the gaming market.

iAM Interactive intends to explore more into Free-2-Play gaming services as part of its plans to acquire strategic advantage, and will continue to harness the huge market potential in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore—AsianMedia’s original market. The prospect of a Free-2-Play casual game is expected to bring in from these countries a big number of gamers, from those old and new to hard-core and casual gamers alike.
