Lineage II

Lineage II is an MMORPG developed by South Korean developer NCSoft. A SEA server was published by Asian Media Development Group under iPlayAsia, and later on iAM Interactive, from 2007 until 2009 using a subscription-based model.

About

In 2007, Asian Media Development Group (AMDG), a Philippine-based company, acquired the license to publish Lineage II for the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia after it signed a reported US$5.5 million distribution deal with NCSoft Corporation[1].

After two months of open beta, the game was launched commercially on January 12, 2008. AMDG celebrated the commercial launch in multiple venues. In the Philippines, the main celebration was held at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Metro Manila, while smaller celebrations were held in Baguio, Cebu, and Davao. In Malaysia, the launch was held in Kuala Lumpur.[2]

Lineage II was placed under the iPlayAsia brand, and was later migrated to iAM Interactive in 2009.

In December 2009, iAM Interactive announced that it had terminated its contract with NCSoft, ending the SEA server.[3]

Official music

The Filipino song Pasan performed by Callalily is the official Philippine theme song of the game. Callalily played Pasan along with its other songs during the January 12, 2008 commercial launch of the game in SM Mall of Asia.
