Point Blank Philippines

Point Blank Philippines is the first official Point Blank service in the Philippines. It was published in the Philippines by E-Games and Level Up! from 2011 until 2014. The game is the last live service game published by E-Games before the company was merged with Level Up!.

Accounts from the game were migrated to Garena Philippines' Point Blank Revolution service in 2014.

History

E-Games began publishing Point Blank Philippines under its casual brand X-Play Online Games in 2011. Ron Aquino, the chief operating officer of X-Play, was optimistic about Point Blank as it was the number 1 game in Thailand and Indonesia, and the number 1 FPS in Russia during that time.[1]

Point Blank Philippines started its closed beta started on May 18, 2011. A limited commercial launch was held on July 8, 2011, at the Hexagon Lounge at RCBC Plaza in Makati City.[2] The grand launch event was held on August 6, 2011, at the Annex Cyberzone in SM North EDSA, Quezon City.[3]

In 2012, E-Games was merged with competing publisher Level Up!. Level Up! continued to operate the Philippine service until it was shut down on June 30, 2014. Player data from the service were migrated to Point Blank Revolution, a service managed in the Southeast Asian region by Garena.
