[UPDATE] Point Blank Philippines goes full blast with Grand Launch on August 6!

The action will only get hotter and better for the best first-person shooting (FPS) game to hit country in years! Point Blank Philippines will have its Grand Launch on August 6 (Saturday), at the SM North EDSA Annex Cyberzone. Gates will open at exactly 10am.
Expect an afternoon of intense in-game action with the 5v5 Point Blank Grand Launch Invitational Tournament, in which only the first 16 teams to register on site will get a slot. In addition, there will also be fun and exciting off-line activities and raffles wherein exclusive Point Blank merchandise items are up for grabs. Scroll down for the mechanics of the tournament and the off-line activities.
There will also be live performances from surprise bands and a meet and greet session with the Point Blank Girls and team!
And in celebration of this momentous event, all Point Blank players will receive a limited edition 3-day Colt Python handgun! Players just need to log in between August 6 (12 midnight) to August 8 (12 midnight) to receive this free item!
In addition, those who will register at the event will all receive a 3-day Quick Change Magazine item!

Point Blank Grand Launch Invitational Tournament Mechanics
Eligibility
• Participants must have an e-Games/X-Play account to participate in the event.
• Tournament is open to all Point Blank Players.
• Participants must be a Clan Member.
• Clans may participate with up to two (2) teams only.
Example: Clan, Clan2
• All Team Members must be present during Registration.
• Players should be ready at least 5 minutes before the allotted time. If one team is incomplete, the other team wins by default. Player substitution is NOT permitted.
How to join
• Approach the Marshal in-charge of Registration.
• All information registered must be true and accurate. E-Games/ X-Play will assume all information is accurate, if any issues arise due to misinformation it shall be dealt with accordingly.
• A Clan may have a maximum entry of two (2) Teams provided that they create a separate clan (e.g. Clan, Clan2).
• A registered team must be composed of one (1) Clan/ Team Leader + four (4) members.
• Competition format: 5v5 Team
• Participants will use their personal Point Blank accounts.
• Maximum of 16 Teams may join the event. This is a first come first serve basis, no reservation.
• The designated Team Captain will be in charge of representing the whole team for confirmation registration, results and other technical discussions.
Duration and Schedule
• Registration Starts at 10:00am until 12:00nn
• Tournament starts at 1:00pm and ends at 7:00pm
General Conditions
• Game Type: Clan War (Bomb)
• Map: Captain’s Mode Map Selection (Luxville, Stormtube, Downtown, Outpost, BlowCity,)
• Participating teams will be divided in to two, as Bracket A and Bracket B.
• The top teams from Bracket A and Bracket B will advance to the 7-round match finals.
• Game Rounds:
1st round (Bracket Eliminations) will be a 5-round match w/ a 3 minute-time
2nd round (Bracket Semis) will be a 5-round match w/ a 3 minute-time
3rd round (Bracket Finals) will be a 7-round match w/ a 3 minute-time
FINAL ROUND (Bracket A winner vs. Bracket B winner) will be a 7-round match w/ a 3 minute-time
Captains Mode Map Selection
• Head Marshal will choose the first map to be removed from the list.
• A coin toss will decide which team will choose second.
• Third will be chosen by the other team. Fourth will then be chosen by the other team. The cycle goes on until one map is left.
• Game Time: 3 minutes
• Condition for Win: Official
• Weapon Restrictions: None
• Team Color will be decided by a coin toss.
Intentional Disconnections
• Any competitor to have intentionally disconnected themselves from the game will be disqualified.
• If 1-2 players get disconnected, match continuous and disconnected players can re-join the game.
• If 3 or more players get disconnected, match will be stopped. Head Marshal will take note of the current score. The match will be re-started but scores will be set to scores before the disconnection.
Example - Match Stopped due to Connectivity issue.
▪ Red Team = 3
▪ Blue Team = 2
• Match will be restarted with the same settings, but scores will be set to previous scores by killing themselves.
• Once scores have been returned to original settings, next round will resume the match.
• Participants must immediately raise their hands to report that he/ she has been is experiencing technical difficulties.
• Personal Accounts will be used throughout the entire tournament.
Warnings
• After a warning is given the game continues. When three (3) warnings are accumulated by the team during the match, on the fourth warning the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
• Bad-mouthing will result to 1 Warning for the whole team.
• All Names (Clan Name, In-Game Name… etc.) must not be rude, derogatory, racist or inflammatory.
• Game Loss: Game loss given to a team means that the team will automatically lose the game irrelevant of the actual match results.
• Disqualifications: A team disqualification will lead to the team being ejected from the tournament. They will not be allowed to take part in the current event.

Point Blank Grand Launch Off-line Activities
Banana Eating Contest/Chain Eater
This event will consist of 5 participants.
Each participant will have to eat 3 Banana.
Before eating the banana, participant must choose 3 GM Names.
These GM Names corresponds to different types of Dips.
First participant to eat the 3 banana wins.

Dog Tag Relay
General Condition:
Open to 2 Groups with 6 members each.
Each group will be given 1 Dog Tag.
Each member will have to run through the post with the dog tag.
Once all the members had run through the post, they should shout “BAKBAKAN NA!” to announce that they’re already finished the relay.
Prize: TBA
Sentence Relay/PB Morse Code
Open to 2 Groups with 5 members each.
Team Leader will choose a number which corresponds to a sentence.
Team must construct the correct sentence within 10 minutes.
First team to finish the sentence with the fastest time wins.
Prize: TBA
Pinoy Bibo
This event is open to 3 pairs of participants.
A pair will pick a number which corresponds to a word.
Participants must be able to name the word in 2 minutes.
Pair with the fastest time to name the word wins.

Purong Bakbakan – El Duelo Edición
This event is open to 10 participants.
Participants will be paired for a Duel Match.
Each pair will turn their back and will count to three to face each other.
First player to shoot their opponent with a toy gun wins the game.
Match will continue until there’s only 1 player left.
Prize: TBA
