The PlayPark Philippines launch event was a press launch event to debut the live service gaming PlayPark brand in the country. It was held on March 4, 2015, at the Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas in Pasig, Metro Manila. It was a major rebranding event that led to the retirement of the Level Up! brand.
Background
PlayPark brand
The PlayPark is a gaming portal brand owned by the Thailand-based gaming publisher and distributor Asiasoft Corporation. Asiasoft, through its various subsidiaries and related companies, operates live service games in the SEA region.
Level Up! and Asiasoft's acquisition

Level Up! is a live service gaming portal in the Philippines owned by Level Up! Inc., and its games were under license to a separate Philippine company PlayWeb Games Inc.
In March 2014, Asiasoft Corporation fully acquired Level Up! Inc. Under Asiasoft's ownership, new games were introduced to Level Up! that were licensed under Asiasoft, such as DC Universe Online, Phantasy Star Online 2, and Strife. While the games were technically under PlayPark, they were marketed under the Level Up! brand in the Philippines.
There was no Level Up! Live annual celebration event in 2014.
About
On March 4, 2015, Asiasoft Corporation and PlayPark Inc. (re-established from PlayWeb Games) held a press launch event to introduce the gaming portal PlayPark in the Philippines.
New games were also announced to be published under PlayPark in the region: CABAL II, World in Audition, and Special Force 2.[1]
The event was attended by Jake N. San Diego, the General Manager of PlayPark Inc., stated that PlayPark has plans to support esports in the country.[2]
It was claimed that PlayPark would become a "sister portal" of Level Up!.[3] However, PlayPark would eventually replace the Level Up! brand by the end of the year, with the latter retiring permanently.
Aftermath
The PlayPark Philippines website became the main entry point for players in the Philippines. The Level Up! website continued to post news until October 2015, after which it was abandoned and eventually shut down.
The Level Up! Live annual event series was replaced by the PlayPark All-Stars series starting in August 2015.
