Ragnarok Online 2: Advent of Valkyrie (Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second)

Ragnarok Online 2: Advent of Valkyrie, stylized as Ragnarok II: Advent of Valkyrie and formerly known as Ragnarok II: Legend of the Second, is a free-to-play MMORPG originally developed by South Korean developer Gravity Co., Ltd. (Gravity KR) for Microsoft Windows. It is published globally by American publisher Gravity Interactive, Inc. under the WarpPortal brand. It is the sequel to Ragnarok Online.
It is a full redevelopment of the game after the largely negative reception of Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World.
About
Ragnarok Online 2 is the second attempt by Gravity to create a mainline sequel to Ragnarok Online, after The Gate of the World's failure. Initially named "Legend of the Second", it was later renamed to "Advent of Valkyrie" in December 2013 after a major content update of the same name.
The game is largely a flop, and Gravity KR ceased its development in late 2013. The exclusive license for the game in the Philippines was held by Level Up! Inc. (Level Up!), Ragnarok Online's local publisher. However, in 2014, Gravity KR terminated the contract before a Philippine service could be published, along with licenses with other regional publishers, after the former deemed the game to be a failure.
The development of the game transitioned to Gravity Interactive from 2016 to 2019, after which the game ceased all development. The global service of the game is still available as of 2025 despite having no updates.

Notes
- Philippine players were only allowed to play on International Ragnarok Online 2 in mid-2014, after the license with Level Up! Inc. (Level Up!) was prematurely terminated.
- Asiasoft Corporation Public Co., Ltd. (Asiasoft Thailand) held the license for Thailand and Vietnam, and Asiasoft Online Pte. Ltd. (Asiasoft Singapore) held the license for Singapore and Malaysia.[doc 1] A SEA service was launched under PlayPark in 2013, as the first English version of the game. However, it was only available for those four countries, as the Philippine license was held by Level Up! Inc. Asiasoft's licenses were terminated in 2014, and player accounts were migrated to International Ragnarok Online 2.
- Ragnarok Online 2 Philippines only managed to hold a closed beta in 2018 before silently being canceled.
