RAN Online

RAN Online was a free-to-play MMORPG developed and last published by South Korean developer Min Communications, Inc. A Philippine server was first published by E-Games in 2006. The Philippine server was later merged into the now-defunct RAN Online GS (Global Service) server, also known as RAN World. RAN Online GS was the last official server and it was shut down in 2019. There are currently no official RAN Online servers being published as of 2024.

The copyrights and trademarks of RAN Online are owned by Min Communications. Its CEO, Kim Byung-Min, stated in 2023 that the company has no plans to sell the service rights of the game in the future.[1]

About

Philippine server, from E-Games until PlayPark (2006-2015)

RAN Online is one of the four original titles that launched commercially by E-Games on March 31, 2006. It was the publisher's flagship title until the release of CABAL Online. The game was transferred into Level Up!'s roster when it was merged with E-Games in 2012.

RAN Online was later transferred into PlayPark's roster after Asiasoft acquired Level Up! Inc. in 2014. PlayPark continued the service until August 2015 when player accounts were migrated into RAN Online GS, the last official international server managed directly by Min Communications.[2]

RAN Online GS (2015-2019)

The last official server of RAN Online is RAN Online GS. It was an international server that started in 2009 and was shut down on August 12, 2019. According to Min Communications' CEO, Kim Byung-Min, the server was shut down due to its employees committing internal fraud. He later warned the community about private servers masquerading as official ones, as the RAN Online GS Facebook page is still controlled by former social media managers and employees who never turned down their account access. At least two of them are Filipinos.[3]
