CABAL Online is a free-to-play MMORPG developed by South Korean developer ESTSoft Corp. for Microsoft Windows. It was initially published in the Philippines by E-Games in 2008, before being transferred into Level Up! in 2012 and finally into PlayPark in 2014. The Philippine server was later rebranded as CABAL Legacy.

It was one of PlayPark's most profitable games until its license with ESTSoft expired in 2024. The Philippine server operated for 16 years.

About

Under E-Games and Level Up!

The Philippine server of CABAL Online, under E-Games, was formally announced during Domination II event. A five-day closed beta stage was held from May 15 to May 19, 2008. The open beta stage started on May 24, 2008. The game went commercial on June 12, 2008, to coincide with Philippine Independence Day.

It was moved into Level Up! in 2012 when its operations were merged with E-Games. The game was later moved into PlayPark after Asiasoft Corporation acquired Level Up! in 2014.

Closure under PlayPark

On May 8, 2024, PlayPark announced that the Philippine server would shut down on June 11, 2024.[1] The announcement came days after CABAL Online GSP (Global Service), published by ESTGames, announced that the global server would shut down on June 27, 2024. The Philippine server was one of the most profitable and active communities out of all the official servers. However, ESTSoft did not want to renew the contract with PlayPark.

According to Dylan Ensui, a CABAL Philippines content creator, PlayPark originally had plans to implement major updates (Episodes 36 and 37) for the 2024 anniversary, establish a SEA server, and organize an international tournament before the publisher was forced to discontinue.

The closure of the PC version did not affect the operations of CABAL M, a mobile game published by PlayPark that is also licensed from ESTSoft.
