The studio is one of the founding members of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines.

About

Matahari Studios Philippines was established in February 2006.[1] Matahari Studios specialized in arcade development for Timezone, its sister company, and the overseas arcade market. Both Timezone and Matahari Studios were subsidiaries of Australian firm Leisure and Allied Industries (LAI) Games.[2]

Matahari Studios Philippines, together with Timezone Philippines, organized the U Got Game X3M XPO game development event in 2007.

The studio was later acquired by British developer Kuju Entertainment in October 2008. It was re-established as Kuju Manila. Kuju Manila would eventually be shut down in the first quarter of 2010.
