It is part of the annual G-Star event by the Korea Association of Game Industry and Busan IT Promotion Agency. Ten Philippine companies participated in the event, and two game entries from Philippine game developers won awards.

Ragnarok Online 2: The Gate of the World is a canceled MMORPG that was being developed by South Korean developer GRAVITY Co., Ltd. and was the planned sequel to Ragnarok Online . The publishing rights for the game in the Philippines were held by Level Up! , which promoted the game in various events before GRAVITY scrapped it in favor of developing Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second.

It was presented as a separate section of INQUIRER.net (which, at the time, was under INQ7.net). The website reported on a wide variety of topics, including game development, live service gaming, esports, and other news on both the local and foreign video game industry. It ran from 2005 to early 2011.
