Rakion: Chaos Force is a free-to-play third-person real-time PVP action game developed by South Korean developer Neosonyx. It is published in the SEA region by PlayPark. The game uses lobby-based, peer-to-peer multiplayer.

An old SEA server was originally published by Mobius Games from 2006 until 2009.

Rakion was originally developed by South Korean developer Softnyx. Neosonyx is an affiliate company to Softnyx.

Mobius Games entered a license agreement with Softnyx to publish the game in the SEA region. Rakion's SEA server service began in 2006.

The server was shut down on September 28, 2009, and the accounts were migrated to the Rakion International Server handled directly by Softnyx. Mobius Games would continue to support the game by marketing and selling Rakion credits through its website until it ceased supporting Softnyx titles in September 2010.

On July 16, 2024, the Rakion International Server announced that it would terminate its service on September 26, 2024. Note that the International Server is different from Rakion: Chaos Force Steam version.

In June 2024, PlayPark announced that it had partnered with Neosonyx to publish Rakion in the SEA region.^[1] PlayPark formally announced its plans during the PGDX Manila 2024 event held from July 26 until 28, 2024.^[2] The closed beta test for the game began on September 24, 2024. It launched commercially on November 26, 2024.^[3]

While the server was open to Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, it was managed by PlayPark Philippines which promoted the game through various events in the country.
