Perfect World Philippines (PlayPark Perfect World)
Perfect World Philippines, also known as PlayPark Perfect World, is an official service of the MMORPG Perfect World in the Philippines published under PlayPark. The service has been running since 2007, after PlayPark inherited the license from Level Up! in 2014. It is the only game on PlayPark's roster that's exclusive to the Philippines.
It is the longest-running MMORPG service in the Philippines.
History
Under Level Up! (2007-2014)
Perfect World is the first Chinese MMORPG published by Level Up! in 2007. It is the first MMORPG in the Philippines to follow World of Warcraft's quest-driven progression. At that time, MMORPGs licensed in the Philippines were developed by South Korean developers, who designed games with a heavily grind-driven progression.
Under PlayPark (2014-present)
The game was transferred to PlayPark's roster after its parent company, Asiasoft Corporation, acquired Level Up! Inc. in 2014.
In 2017, PlayPark celebrated its 10th anniversary.[1]
Esports
PlayPark, and its predecessor Level Up!, holds annual nationwide tournaments for the game called the Phoenix Council Wars.
