About

Microgaming Technology Corporation was registered on August 8, 2007, as the Philippine subsidiary of the South Korean company Liveplex Co. Ltd.[1] It was renamed later as MyGame1, Inc. and finally as MyGame.PH, Inc.

The company was improperly registered in the Philippines after three of its five South Korean owners claimed they were residents of the Philippines. An SEC investigation was started based on an October 2008 complaint filed by its Philippine competitor IP E-Game Ventures, Inc. A petition was filed by the Enforcement and Prosecution Department of SEC on May 5, 2009, to revoke the corporate registration of MYGAME.PH. Its impending closure led to the creation of Gamesoft Technology Inc. and the rebranding of MyGame into Gameclub on August 25, 2009.[2]
