Grand Chase
Grand Chase Classic, originally known simply as Grand Chase, is a free-to-play, 2D sidescrolling action RPG developed by South Korean developer KOG Studios for Microsoft Windows. A SEA server has been published by PlayPark since 2024.
The game was originally published in the Philippines under Level Up!.
Grand Chase was rebranded as "Grand Chase Classic" by KOG Studios to distinguish it from the Grand Chase mobile game.
History
Level Up! Philippine server (2008-2014)
On September 17, 2008, Level Up! announced its partnership with KOG Studios to bring a local version of Grand Chase to the Philippines.[1] The game ran its open beta on November 4 until 17, 2008.[2] The game was released commercially on November 18, 2008.
The Philippine server was closed down in 2014.
PlayPark SEA server (2024)
Grand Chase was relaunched in the SEA region by PlayPark using KOG Studio's updated name "Grand Chase Classic".
Esports
"Grand Chase Digmaan" was the name of the nationwide tournament under Level Up!. PlayPark retained the name during the PlayPark All-Stars 2024 event.
The Philippines also participated in the game's international tournament series, the Grand Chase World Championship, in 2009 and 2011.

Song
A Filipino song entitled "Mandirigma", which was inspired by Grand Chase, was released in the 2008 album Live! The Album: Music of the Level Up! Nation.
