FlyFF World Championship 2024
The FlyFF World Championship 2024, or FWC 2024 in Manila, was an international PVP tournament for the MMORPG FlyFF Universe. The tournament playoffs were held on October 12, 2024, at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The event was organized with the help of the game's Philippine distributor, PlayPark.
Players could participate in the tournament by registering on a temporary FWC server and raising new characters to compete with other players for a tournament slot.
Mechanics
FWC 2024 server
The FWC 2024 server was a temporary server where players created new characters that were used to participate in the FWC 2024 qualifiers. The server ran from May 16, 2024, until October 24, 2024. Characters created from the server could be transferred to commercial servers at the end of the tournament season. The server's most notable differences from the commercial servers are special buffs of 2x exp rate, drop rate, and upgrade chance.[1]
SEA qualifiers
The SEA qualifiers, which use the game's Guild War system, were held by the game's Philippine distributor, PlayPark. Participants from the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand were allowed to participate.
The qualifiers were divided into two categories: On-ground (offline) qualifiers and online qualifiers. The two champions of each tournament occupied two of eight slots in the FWC 2024 playoffs.
The on-ground qualifiers were held at the SM Cyberzone section of SM Makati in Makati City, Philippines on September 14, 2024. The online qualifiers were held on September 21, 22, and 28, 2024.[2]
