FlyFF Philippines
FlyFF Philippines is the first official service for FlyFF in the country which ran from 2005 until 2014. It was initially published under netGames before the title was migrated to Level Up! in 2006.
FlyFF was the last active netGames title in Level Up!'s roster when the service closed down in 2014.
About
Launch
FlyFF is one of the live service games that was originally published by netGames before its merge with Level Up! in 2006. It started its beta in 2005.
The service was launched commercially at the Multimedia Masters Meet Mania event on March 4 and 5, 2006. It is one of the first MMORPGs in the country to utilize the free-to-play business model.
Closure
On July 25, 2014, Level Up! announced that FlyFF would be ceasing operations on September 1, 2014. The game's registration was disabled on July 25, and the conversion of LU credits to FlyFF coupons was disabled on July 31. All item mall items were made available for free until its closure on September 1.[note 1] It is the last netGames title to cease operations under Level Up!
It is not known if Asiasoft's acquisition of Level Up! had influenced the decision to terminate the service.
Music
Two original Filipino songs were made based on FlyFF.
- "Intercept" by Sponge Cola from the 2007 music album Level Up! The Album.
- "Talo" by Mayonnaise from the 2008 album Live! The Album: Music of the Level Up! Nation.
