Audition Next Gen (Audition Next Level)

Audition Next Gen, formerly known as Audition Next Level, is an official Audition Online service published by PlayPark in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia since 2018.

The service was rebranded from "Next Level" to "Next Gen" in March 2025, after the "Next Generation" patch introduced 16:9 resolution support to the client.

Despite the service being available in Singapore and Malaysia, the majority of the community and on-ground events are based in the Philippines.

About

Audition Dance Battle Philippines and AuditionSEA migration

Audition Next Level was announced in October 2017. It was the successor to Audition Dance Battle Philippines, which features an upgraded client, new game features, and new anti-hack security. However, it would also be set on a fresh server that would reset everyone's levels and ranks.[1] Next Level was put into various forms of beta testing for the Philippine community until its launch in May 2018.

On August 6, 2018, AuditionSEA, a service for Singapore and Malaysia by Asiasoft Online, announced that it would be shut down by the end of the month. It directed its players to the upcoming Next Level service, which would service players from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

While the Next Level service would reset everyone's progress, players from the Philippines were given the opportunity to migrate their items from Audition Dance Battle Philippines.[1] Migrated AuditionSEA players, however, were only given a welcome package and in-game cash compensation depending on the players' lifetime expenditure.

Commercial launch

On Friday, April 27, 2018, PlayPark held a Philippine media launch at the High Grounds Café in Quezon City, Metro Manila. The event saw the announcement of both Audition Next Level's upcoming commercial launch and its service expansion to Singapore and Malaysia. Next Level was launched commercially on May 2, 2018.

Next Gen rebranding

In March 2025, Next Level was rebranded into "Next Gen" after it released Patch 234. Its most notable update was the PC game client's support for 16:9 resolution, "bringing [the player] the ultimate Next Gen Experience".[2]
