Supreme Destiny World Championship League 2008
The Supreme Destiny World Championship League (WCL) 2008, also known as the With Your Destiny World Championship League 2008, was an online-only international esports tournament for the MMORPG Supreme Destiny. The event was a round-robin tournament and was held on separate dates throughout February and March of 2008.
It was organized by With Your Destiny Global in partnership with various game publishers that handled Supreme Destiny in various regions. In the Philippines, Supreme Destiny was published by E-Games.
The tournament was a one-off event that was not repeated in succeeding years.
About
The tournament had a total prize pool of US$10,000. $5,000 went to the champion, $3,000 for the runner-up, and $2,000 for the second runner-up.[1]
The 26-player teams of each country logged onto the WCL international server during scheduled dates between February and March of 2008 to compete.
Team Philippines
The representatives for Team Philippines, dubbed the "War Council", were chosen based on their performance and rank in E-Games ground events, in-game tournament wins, character levels, and player votes. The players came from various areas such as Pasig, Quezon City, Cavite, Valenzuela, Laguna, Marikina, Rizal, and from the Visayan City of Cebu. E-Games had designated the i-Hooked internet café in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City as the team's competition area.[2]

A total of 6 teams had participated in the tournament. Each team was comprised of 26 players.

Results
Team Philippines beat Team Korea in a final best-of-three match. Team Philippines won on the first round and Team Korea unexpectedly abstained from playing the second round, effectively conceding the series.[1]
