RAN: The Movie

RAN: The Movie is a canceled Filipino live-action movie adaptation of the South Korean MMORPG RAN Online. It was originally announced by its Philippine publisher E-Games in 2008, and another attempt was announced in 2010 by Filipino film director Rico Gutierrez for GMA Films.

About

Original announcement

RAN: The Movie was first announced by E-Games during the Domination II event on April 6, 2008. It was planned to be released on the fourth quarter of 2008.[1]

Under Rico Gutierrez

No news of the movie came to public, until in 2010 when Filipino film director Rico Gutierrez announced a new RAN Online adaptation attempt on his Facebook page under the working title "RAN 2011". Filipino actors Richard Gutierrez and Rhian Ramos were planned to be in the movie.[2] It was meant to be an entry by GMA Films for the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival.

The movie was pushed back a year and was renamed to "RAN 2012". The movie never surfaced, with Rico Gutierrez confirming its cancellation on his Facebook page.[note 1]
