Pro-Gaming League

The Pro-Gaming League, or PGL, was a canceled 2010 esports league by X-Play Online Games that was planned to promote esports in the Philippines. It was planned to allow internet cafés around the country to establish teams that would compete in nationwide tournaments.

This Pro-Gaming League should not be confused with Mineski's Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL).

About

The Pro-Gaming League was first announced in 2010. Its events were planned to be televised through the Philippine network GMA-7 and to have a prize pool of up to ₱1 million. Planned titles in the league included DotA-AllStars and X-Play's own Operation 7.
