PlayPark RF Online
PlayPark RF Online was an official RF Online service published for the SEA region by PlayPark from 2017 until 2024. It is the second and final RF Online official service in the Philippines, and is also the final one to operate globally.
Despite being officially serviced in Singapore and Malaysia, most of its playerbase and on-ground events were based in the Philippines.
About
PlayPark RF Online ran from 2017 until 2024. PlayPark's service excluded Indonesia, as that country's RF Online license was held by a different publisher.
IP holder changer
In 2020, the RF Online IP was transferred to the South Korean company Netmarble Corp. after it acquired the game's South Korean developer, CCR. This move would drastically affect the outcome of all RF Online services globally.
Closure
On December 23, 2023, PlayPark's RF Online team announced that the game would be closed down on January 31, 2024. The decision to terminate PlayPark's license was made by the new IP owner, Netmarble.[1] This came after the North American and Indonesian servers were shut down on February 21, 2023, and December 29, 2023, respectively. This made PlayPark's service the final official service to be shut down.
