GAME!

GAME! was a multi-platform Filipino video game magazine that was published by Hinge Inquirer Publications in the Philippines from 2006 until 2011. It is the second gaming magazine to be published locally in the country after GamesMaster Philippines, and is also the first gaming magazine whose content is written entirely by Filipinos.

The magazine debuted in March 2006 as a bi-monthly magazine. Since its September 2009 issue, it has surpassed the number of issues published by GamesMaster Philippines, making GAME! the longest running local gaming magazine in the country.

History

Hinge Inquirer Publications (HIP) originally planned to franchise the American monthly video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly in the Philippines. However, due to numerous issues such as cultural differences, rampant piracy, and domination of live service games in the country at the time, HIP decided to establish an original magazine brand instead. The first GAME! magazine debuted on March 2006 as a bi-monthly magazine until its 7th issue, where the magazine took a monthly format.

The lack of financial viability in the magazine's later years led to HIP ceasing publications in late 2011. It is the last video game magazine brand to be published in the Philippines.
