Fairyland is a fantasy live service MMORPG developed by Taiwanese game developer Lager and was published in the Philippines by BeetleRock Inc. from 2004 until 2005. The game is no longer in service in the country.

The game is one of the first MMORPGs to launch in the Philippines after Ragnarok Online, but became the first commercial live service game to be discontinued in the country.

Philippine server history

BeetleRock, an affiliate of Hong Kong-based Alta Multimedia, acquired the rights to publish the game in the Philippines after Alta Multimedia's successful handling of Fairyland's Hong Kong server.[1]

Fairyland Philippines began its free-to-play open beta on December 17, 2004. The game was supposed to launch into a subscription model on November 2005. However, on late October of the same year, the game was then scheduled to be closed for failing to meet success in other countries. It was closed on November 9, 2005, along with several versions in other countries. Its closure made it the first commercial live service game in the country to cease operations.
