About
Launch
Digital Media Exchange Inc. (DME) was established in 2003. According to Scott Countryman, DME's CEO, the company established its office in Bonifacio Global City due to various quality factors and because it was close to the company's business partners in Makati City.[1]
In 2004, DME established Mobius Games (also known as Mobius.ph) as the former's game publishing and distribution arm. In 2005, DME launched Mobius Online, one of the earliest forms of a payment gateway service in the country that allowed its users to purchase subscription time and in-game credits for international games.
Closure
In 2012, DME lost the license for MU Online, which was the company's most profitable service. With no other product other than distributing game credits for other games, DME and Mobius Games closed down after suspending the services of Mobius Games on April 30, 2013.[2]
