Philippine gaming giants IP e-games and Level-Up! teamed up recently for one of the most awaited gaming events to date in the country: Domination VI.

Held last Saturday, April 21, at the World Trade Center, the one-day-only event featured gamers and hobbyists from all walks of life, with gaming tournaments for local gaming titles such as RAN Online, CABAL, Point Blank, and Bandmaster.

Running since 2006, Domination is an annual event held by IP e-Games that primarily oversees the grand finals of their MMORPG games to determine the grand champions for each of their respective titles.

However, since merging with Level Up! last March, IP e-Games was present for the first time at this year’s festivities, making for a much larger event.

Domination VI provided the perfect proverbial “launch pad” for both companies to reveal a wide showcase of offerings for local gamers.

Level Up! Inc. founder Ben Colayco and IP e-Games CEO and President Enrique Gonzalez were present on the event and took to the stage to address the recent merger and news concerning their companies’ respective games.

Chief among the latest developments from both companies was the introduction of a new proprietary guild-based game called “Eligium”, which was formally revealed on the show floor in the afternoon.

Booths showcasing local and international gaming properties were also set up to attract gamers, including Diablo III, which IP e-Games will distribute locally once it comes out on May 15. — TJD, GMA News
