Academia: School Simulator by Squeaky Wheel

I’m a sucker for a good management game and Academia: School Simulator is all about that high school life. You’re the school Principal and you need to not only design and construct your place of higher education but you get to keep an eye on your students as well. Watch as they get bullied, find love, flunk exams, and basically just try to get through the roller-coaster ride that is high school. Will you offer the best teachers and facilities or cheap out and build giant classrooms with a 1:100 student to teacher ratio? It’s all up to you!

Academia: School Simulator is currently out on Steam Early Access now.

Lockdown Hero by Brick Geek Games

As Kuala Lumpur goes into lockdown for the second time and well I guess just generally for anyone living in 2020, you’ll feel this game. Lockdown Hero tells the RPG adventure story of someone in the lockdown stage of a pandemic crisis. But unlike me who’s eating chips and binging Netflix, this hero is out to find the cure and save the world!

In this 3D open-world adventure you’ll need to explore the community, uncover mysteries and find the clues that will help you end this pandemic. Meet people who will teach you survival skills and give you special items on your mission. But is one of those special items a MASK? Yes, it is. Wear a mask people. Lockdown Hero also has various mini-games for you to sink some time in an unlock hidden areas and gear. From farming to casino games, relax and enjoy the game. It’s not as if we’re in a national emergency or anything.

Lockdown Hero is available for sale now on PC – Steam and Google Play.

Love Esquire by Yangyang Mobile

No newbie to the visual novel scene, we’ve covered YangYang Mobile games since the launch of Unpause. Always hitting it out of the park on the visuals and the story, it’s been great to see how the dev team has evolved in the last 5 years. Instead of horror and epic tales Love Esquire is a romantic-comedy visual novel and dating sim that feels like an old-school RPG.

In this game, you’re not a famous knight, but a good-for-nothing squire who’s on a quest to find man’s greatest pleasure. Sex. Getting the girl won’t be easy though, since most of them are way out of your league. To make things worse: you only have a few months left before this huge war happens, and the only thing you know is how to milk cows. Good luck cramming years worth of training into four months while trying to chase tail. May the fertility god have mercy on your virginity.

Love Esquire is available now on PC – Steam and itch.io.

Ruinarch by Maccima Games

“Ruinarch appears to be Dwarf Fortress or Rimworld for evil bastards, putting you in the spiked boots of an evil overlord watching over a simulated fantasy sandbox.” – RPS.

Ruinarch is an evil overlord simulation sandbox game where you create obstacles and cause conflicts in procedurally generated fantasy worlds. Weaving tales of both anguish and humour is central to Ruinarch’s gameplay. The game gives you all the infernal tools you’ll need to toy with people’s lives and relationships. Do you want to rain lightning and fireballs from above? Afflict the local populace with a Zombie virus that slowly infects the whole village? Breed monsters, summon demons. The world is just a plaything for your twisted soul. Check out Ruinarch on Steam Early Access now.
