World Cyber Games 2008 is the eighth mainline World Cyber Games event. The Grand Final was held at Koelnmesse Event Hall 8 in Cologne, Germany from November 5 to 9, 2008.

This annual event was preceded by World Cyber Games 2007 and was followed up by World Cyber Games 2009.

This is the first time the Philippines did not send a StarCraft: Brood War representative due to the low number of players in the preliminaries.

The Philippine representatives are the national champions of the World Cyber Games Philippines 2008 nationwide tournament.
