Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX)

The Philippine GameDev Expo (PGDX) is a series of annual 3-day game development and video game conventions in the Philippines organized by CBZN Perspective and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines.

Despite the "GameDev" in its name, the series encompasses the broader video gaming, pop culture, and tech communities in the Philippines, featuring cosplay competitions and esports tournaments.

Since 2024, with the demise of the CONQuest events and event organizer Gariath Concepts (REV Major, ESGS, Pinoy Gaming Festival) in 2023, PGDX is the only major annual video game convention in the Philippines.

Events

All events were held from Friday to Sunday at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Event highlights

Indie Game Stars

One of the event highlights is the Indie Game Stars, a program where independent Filipino game developers can showcase their games during the events. Not all games showcased were from Filipino developers, as the program is open to any developer who can attend the event, regardless of nationality.

Game industry workshops

The events feature game panels and workshop sessions from individuals in the video game industry.

Other activities

Other highlights include booth exhibits, cosplay competition, and esports tournaments. Attendees can also participate in raffles and other activites.
