Philippine hero as new character

On February 27, 2017, as gratitude for the massive popularity of the game in the Philippines, Moonton had prepared a survey for Filipino players to vote for a Philippine hero that would be implemented as a playable character in the future.[1] The survey included the following options:[2]

  • Andres Bonifacio
  • Emilio Aguinaldo
  • Emilio Jacinto
  • Gabriela Silang
  • General Luna
  • Gregorio Del Pilar
  • Jose Rizal
  • Lapu-Lapu
  • Marcelo H. Del Pilar
  • Sultan Kudarat
  • Other (custom answer)

Lapu-Lapu won the survey. He was implemented on Mobile Legends on its May 2017 update of patch v1.1.84.
