Jollibee GameJoy Con

The Jollibee GameJoy Con was a Philippine launch event held by the fast food franchise Jollibee Philippines. It was held on May 5, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Aura in Taguig City, Metro Manila. The event revealed Jollibee's partnership with game credit distributor UniPin and introduced the "GameJoy Combo" meals. The event was also controversial to the League of Legends: Wild Rift Philippine community, as an early teaser image was misunderstood as having a connection to Wild Rift.

About

GameJoy Combos

The event introduced "GameJoy Combos" to the Jollibee menu. They are set meals that include GameJoy Credits Mystery Cards. Each card has a serial code that can be redeemed on the UniPin website for a randomized amount of credits ranging from 10 to 200.

Wild Rift controversy

On May 2, 2025, the Jollibee Facebook page posted a teaser image for the upcoming event. The image looks like a 5-man party queuing up for a match, with each player represented by his avatar inside a vertical banner. Each banner has varying lengths to form a V-formation. The image is a parody of an old UI design for League of Legends. However, the current UI for Wild Rift also has a V-formation for the party's banners.

This led to massive speculation that the event was a collaboration with Wild Rift, which drew excitement in the community as its publisher, Riot Games, generally does not invest heavily into the Philippine scene compared to Moonton for Mobile Legends and Level Infinite for Honor of Kings. The anticipation grew as several of the game's popular content creators hyped up the event by providing speculation input for the announcement.

On May 5, the community was disappointed when it was revealed that it was a collaboration between Jollibee and UniPin, and the event only featured games such as Call of Duty: Mobile. Ironically, the UniPin platform does not support Wild Rift.
