About

On November 7, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda, hit the country. It was one of the most powerful tropical cyclones ever recorded and caused mass fatalities and damage in the Visayas region.

In response to the typhoon, various video game musicians in Japan organized a project to create a music album to raise money for charity. The album, entitled "Game Music Prayer", was created by artists such as Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana) and Motoi Sakuraba ("Tales" series, Valkyrie Profile), and was sold for ¥1.500.

The album was sold at the Japanese event "Comic Market C85" on December 31, 2013, and at the "Tokyo Game Music Show" on February 22, 2014. It sold a total of 299 discs and raised US$4,500, all of which were donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society to benefit the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.[1]

Track list

The album mastering was done by Hiroyoshi Katou (Noisy Croak).
