Online gamers from the National Capital Region (NCR) are now the official members of this year’s “WarRock Phillippine Team” who is set to compete this November 13 in the much awaited world online game festival, “Game and Game World Championship (GNGWC) 2011” to be held in Busan, South Korea.
Among the six teams from NCR, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, “Most Wanted 1” of NCR emerged as the grand champion in the recently concluded “JBlaze Cup Road to Korea 2011 National Finals.” They were awarded an all-expense paid trip to South Korea and an entry slot to the GNGWC 2011. The team is composed of Oscar Hill, Wrencris Cañizares, June Agranzamendez, and Jerrald Sonza.
“Most Wanted 1” will compete against four other teams from South Korea, Japan, United States of America, and Germany to claim the title as grand champion title. Prizes at stake are 4,000 USD for first prize; 2,000 USD for second prize; and 1,000 USD for third to fifth placers.
All games for GNGWC 2011 are domestic games made in Korea such as ‘SHOT Online’ by OnNet, ‘ACE Online’ by MASANGSOFT, and “WarRock” by Dream Execution Technology.
“WarRock” is the award-winning online game developed by Dream Execution in Korea and published in the Philippines by ‘Amped’ of ABS-CBN Multimedia Inc. “WarRock” is an online 3D multiplayer first-person shooter (MFPS) game where users can experience a large-scale combat from battlefields that support diverse boarding equipment of army, navy, and air force. It has recently added the ‘psycho mode’ also known as the ‘zombie mode’ which gained positive responses from gamers.
“WarRock” is the first online game in the country to send Filipino representatives to a Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter (MMOFPS) international tournament.
The “JBlaze Cup Road to Korea 2011 National Finals” was made possible by Zest-O, the NO. 1 juice drink in the Philippines and Hero TV, the official media partner.
